Maitreyee Nimbolkar
Dreamlike landscapes and personal narratives define Maitreyee Nimbolkar’s paintings. Working across oils, acrylics, watercolour, gouache, and mixed media, she blends realism with abstraction to translate memories, travel experiences, and reflections on everyday life into layered visual compositions. Raised in a village in the Western Ghats and now based in Pune, Nimbolkar draws inspiration from nature, literature, and her minimalist way of life. Her practice emerged after leaving a successful corporate career in chartered accountancy to pursue painting full time, a decision that reshaped her relationship with art as both a creative practice and a chosen way of living. Her works often evoke quiet moments of contemplation and invite viewers to reflect on their own journeys.
