Swara Inamdar
Fluid movement and intuition define Swara Inamdar’s abstract practice. Working primarily with acrylic ink on archival paper, she creates spontaneous compositions that respond to the natural behaviour of the medium. Based in Mumbai, Inamdar approaches painting as an intuitive process where colour, motion, and emotion unfold organically on the surface. Acrylic ink’s unpredictable flow becomes an active collaborator in her work, allowing forms to emerge through movement rather than rigid structure. Each composition becomes a reflection of a specific moment, translating fleeting thoughts and emotions into visual expression. Alongside her artistic practice, Inamdar is currently pursuing her studies with plans to study architecture, a field that continues to influence her sensitivity to form, space, and composition.

“When I paint, the only thought in my mind is where the colour will go. Acrylic ink has a mind of its own, and that unpredictability is what I love about working with it.”
