Rashmi Pote
Layered narratives and introspective storytelling define Rashmi Pote’s mixed-media works. Working across collage, drawing, and printmaking, she explores themes of memory, identity, and personal reflection through compositions that combine text, imagery, and found materials. Based in Mumbai, Pote is a self-taught artist whose practice draws from literature, everyday observations, and inner dialogues. Her works often merge structured shapes with fluid gestures, creating visual stories that evolve through experimentation with materials such as oil pastels, ink, acrylic, and handmade paper. Sustainability also plays an important role in her process, with many works incorporating recycled materials and found objects. Through this layered approach, Pote creates compositions that invite viewers to pause and reflect on the emotional traces and narratives embedded within everyday life.

"As an artist, I am a storyteller. Conversations within often inspire the stories in my work. Literature and art move together in my practice — two parts of a whole.”
