Ankita Kashyap

Material transformation and ritualistic acts of making define Ankita Kashyap’s multidisciplinary practice. Working across collage, paper sculpture, and installation, she explores themes of memory, identity, and women’s lived experiences through tactile processes of assembling, tearing, and reconstructing materials. Her work often reinterprets the symbolism of the rose traditionally associated with beauty transforming it into a visual language that speaks of resistance, storytelling, and quiet protest. Currently based in London, Kashyap studied painting at Banaras Hindu University and is completing her MA in Contemporary Art Practice at the Royal College of Art. Her works frequently incorporate personal materials, including textiles and objects from home, reflecting questions of displacement, belonging, and visibility.
