Hitesh Gilder

Reflective metal surfaces and fluid colour fields define Hitesh Gilder’s sculptural and painted works. Working across stainless steel, painting, and mixed media, he explores the interplay between material, light, and movement, creating compositions that shift between abstraction and landscape. Based in Mumbai, Gilder’s practice grew from his long-standing engagement with design and casting processes through his entrepreneurial background in hardware manufacturing. This experience informs his sculptural approach, where polished steel forms interact with painted surfaces to create works that change visually depending on light and perspective. His work has been exhibited widely in galleries and art fairs in India and internationally.

“Stainless steel fascinates me for its strength and reflectivity - it allows light, colour, and movement to become part of the artwork itself.”
