Chandan Agrawal
Forms drawn from both living and non-living elements of nature define Chandan Agrawal’s abstract paintings. Working primarily in painting, he explores the energetic relationship between colour, image, and form, translating natural elements into layered compositions that evolve through experimentation. His practice draws from close observation of the environment and from the belief that images hold the potential to generate meaning through the viewer’s engagement. Agrawal studied painting at the College of Arts & Crafts in Lucknow, where he completed both his Bachelor and Master of Visual Arts degrees. His works have been exhibited across cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Baroda, and Lucknow, and are held in private collections and institutional spaces.

I believe that all art is rooted in images. Forms carry an energy that challenges the artist’s mind. Abstract art should not remain only in the mind - it must be expressed.”
