Cheena Madan’s practice explores the space between external reality and inner perception. A self-taught artist based in Delhi, she works with abstraction and semi-realistic forms to explore nature, fleeting visual phenomena, and spiritual introspection. Working primarily with acrylics, inks, and spray paint, Madan builds layered compositions through colour, texture, repetitive marks, and fluid forms. Her works translate ephemeral visual experiences and internal states into atmospheric compositions, moving beyond direct representation towards a more intuitive visual language. Her Floral Phosphenes series transforms fleeting patterns of light and colour into whimsical floral landscapes, while other bodies of work explore consciousness, spirituality, and inner reflection. Across her practice, Madan invites viewers to engage with the spaces between what is seen, imagined, and felt.
