Rashid Ahamad

Expansive fields of colour, intricate dot patterns, and textured surfaces define Rashid Ahamad’s abstract paintings. Working primarily with acrylic and mixed media, he explores themes of spirituality, nature, and the cosmic forces that shape existence. Based in Prayagraj, Ahamad’s practice draws from meditation and philosophical inquiry, often examining the relationship between the microcosm and the macrocosm. Through layered compositions built from dots, lines, and shifting textures, his works evoke ideas of time, energy, and transformation. While much of his practice is abstract, he has also explored figurative expression through series such as his musician drawings in pen and ink. Ahamad studied fine arts at the University of Allahabad and later completed his MFA at the College of Art, University of Delhi. His work has been exhibited across national and international platforms and reflects a continuing exploration of harmony between the natural and the cosmic.
