Rohan Khuntale
Layered relief surfaces constructed from discarded materials define Rohan Khuntale’s recent body of work. Working with recycled electronic waste and found objects, he creates three-dimensional compositions that explore themes of environmental responsibility, migration, and humanity’s relationship with the natural world. In these works, recurring motifs such as maps, sailboats, and navigational forms appear within textured surfaces built from reclaimed materials. By transforming technological waste into sculptural artworks, Khuntale reflects on the environmental consequences of consumption while suggesting ideas of movement, exploration, and renewal. Originally trained as a painter, Khuntale’s practice has evolved toward material experimentation and sustainability. His works now merge painting, assemblage, and relief sculpture, creating objects that carry both visual and conceptual narratives about the landscapes we inhabit and the impact we leave behind.

"Materials carry stories. When discarded objects return to the canvas, they begin a new journey and invite us to rethink our relationship with the world around us.”
